Once you have conquered all the trails we have to offer, check out the incredible Mission Creek Trail System. By traveling a mere half-mile from our doorstep, you can access the scenic Willard Munger State Trail, a paved route that begins across from the Lake Superior Zoo and extends all the way to Hinckley, MN. Visit COGGS for full trail updates and information on all the mountain bike trails in the area.
Willard Munger State Trail – This entirely paved trail is easily accessed via a short drive to Becks Rd (6.8mi drive or ride away) or Carlton (11mi drive or ride away).
Mission Creek – This trail is right across the river, less than a ½ mile from our door, and spans over 20 miles with difficulties ranging from beginner to advanced. It and can be accessed from multiple entry points.
COGGS Keene Creek Trail and West Side Brewer Park Access – Located 11 miles from our door, this trail is comprised of flowing beginner and advanced single-tracks. The full length of the trail is 9 miles.
East Side Brewer Park/West Side Piedmont Trails Haines Rd. Access – Positioned 13 miles from Mont du Lac, this trail is 9 miles long and offers some of the best technical riding in the area.
Hartley Park – Another great COGGS trail that is only 20 miles from our resort and is 9 miles long.
Lester River Park – With its unique and challenging trails, Lester River Park will not disappoint. It is located 21 miles from Mont du Lac and features 5.5 miles of trail. Stationed at the east end of Duluth, this COGGS trail is non-technical and great practice for beginning riders.
Pokegama Trail – This raw and root scattered COGGS trail is only 8.5 miles away and offers riders a 7-mile round-trip.
Pine Valley Park, Cloquet – Completed in 2018, Pine Valley Park is a great option for riders in search of a shorter trail. It is a 2.5-mile ride located 18 miles from Mont du Lac Resort.
